It only takes seconds to install RIVESTOP.
RiveStop functions in the same way as an elastic rivet which, inserted with a standard riveter applying constant and controlled pressure, expands thanks to an internal mechanical system (to approximately 50% more than its original diameter) inside the tie hole, giving it a liquid-tight seal.
The mechanical system is activated with a manual or electric RIVETING MACHINE in a question of seconds. There’s no margin for human error, anybody can do the job.
The RiveStop system remains permanently expanded to seal the hole.
Once the piece has been placed in the tie hole, it contracts and expands, exerting strong uniform force against the walls of the space, completely and continuously clamping it to the tie hole to give it a liquid-tight seal, as can be seen in the following images:
The internal mechanical system of the piece means that the seal will stay perfectly in place over time.
RIVESTOP is inserted in the riveter nosepiece and placed in the tie hole, starting the installation process.
The best tool for installing the RIVESTOP is a long-arm hand riveter.
Features of the RiveStop manual riveter:
This is a standard, universal and widely available riveter. However, we can supply the RiveStop Riveter if required.
1-Standard riveter for standard installation FLUSH AGAINST THE WALL or tie hole (ideal for flush walls)
2-Special riveter for INNER installation (for an inner seal, at a depth of 1-2 cm inside the tie hole):
This riveter has a special stop built into the nosepiece to make installation easier for the worker, so that they can insert the RiveStop at the same depth in every tie hole.
This makes supervising the work much easier (it is obvious at a simple glance whether or not the tie hole is sealed with RiveStop) and makes for faster installation since the worker can rest the riveter nosepiece against the wall for easy riveting.
The worker only has to place the RIVESTOP mandrel in the riveter nosepiece and insert it into the tie hole. It’s that simple!
It doesn’t need a point of support inside the tie hole, the RIVESTOP can even be installed “in the air”.
The riveter does rest against the wall to make the job easier for the worker.
The riveting action and installation of the Rivestop takes around 3-7 seconds per tie hole (and is even faster with an electric riveter).

The process does not depend on the skill of the operator, installer or person who applies it. That means, the quality of the seal does not depend on the person who applies it. The human factor IS NOT involved. The riveter does all the installation work.
The application is therefore very fast, allowing you to SAVE up to 90% of labour costs compared to other sealing solutions currently on the market, such as mortars, resins, bentonites, epoxy, plastic plugs, cement cones, corks, or other non-mechanical products.
Another important factor to consider is the fact that RIVESTOP is permanent once it is installed. Once applied, it can no longer be removed, or manipulated, and can only be removed with a drill or similar. This means, the Rivestop will never escape or slip from the hole or wall over time.
Rivestop is distributed ready to be used.
If necessary, it is recommended to clean the surface of the hole to eliminate any trace of concrete, dust, stones or sand, and to obtain a perfect seal.
1- Insert the Rivestop into the manual or electric riveter (using a ø 3.2-3.70 mm nozzle – step 1)
2- Insert the Rivestop in the hole to be sealed (step 2)
3- Perform the riveting action until the mandrel of the rivet breaks, you have to hear a “breaking noise” (step 3)
4- After the noise of breakage of the mandrel (pin), you must continue the riveting action until the pin of the Rivestop releases itself (step 4)
The riveter activates the internal mechanical system of the piece exerting a constant and exact force for a controlled expansion of the Rivestop. The action of the operator does not influence the correct installation, the tool does it.
-The holes to be sealed must have a homogeneous and continuous circular section
-Make sure to use the appropriate Rivestop reference for the exact hole diameter that allows the hole to be sealed and the desired pressure resistance (see attached PDF)
-The holes should not be pre-treated with any other sealing product or additives, and should be free of dirt and dust.
-The installation of the RIVESTOP is irreversible, and can only be extracted from the wall with the action of a drill (breaking the internal mechanical system of the rivet by the area of the aluminium ring in the middle of the outer washer).
-If necessary, you can “finish” the wall for aesthetic purposes, but with Rivestop it is not necessary since we offer references to be used “face faced”
-Rivestop is ideal for “face face” walls at the architectural level, and in different colours (for example, white concrete).
