How does it work?

A patented, simple yet effective tight seal for voids formed in a concrete wall by the removal of a taper tie rod or pass through tie sleeve, or tube bushing.

This is a very easy to use product: all you have to do is put the piece in a riveter and rivet it into the hole, that’s it!

STEP 1

Insert Rivestop into the riveter.

Action the riveter until the rivet pins are cut.

    • 1. Insert Rivestop into the manual or electric riveting machine with a nose piece ø 0,18-0,19in/4.8-5.00mm. (STEP 1)
    • 2. Place Rivestop into the hole to be sealed. (STEP 2)
    • 3. Riveting action until the pin of the rivet breaks off. (STEP 3)
    • * it contracts and expands exerting uniform force against the walls of the hole, sealing it completely.

What is Rivestop?

Rivestop is a mechanical system created to seal formwork holes quickly and effectively.

Why should I use Rivestop?

Because of its advantages: Our product is very easy to apply, it seals the hole tightly, and it saves a lot of time in the sealing process.

How does it work?

Rivestop is an elastic rivet that expands inside the hole by approximately 50% of its original diameter, exerting force against the walls that the hole is in, thus sealing it completely.

Does the quality of the seal with Rivestop depend on the person who applies it?

No, Rivestop’s seal does not depend on the person who applies it; it always seals with uniform force, so that’s a variable that our system eliminates.

Is it easy to use?

Yes. It’s very easy to use; all you have to do is put the piece in the riveter and rivet it into the hole. That’s all there is to it.

How will I know if it’s in the right place/if I’ve applied it correctly?

Once the Rivestop is riveted into the hole that needs to be sealed, it’s sealed. There are only two possibilities: it’s in place (riveted) or it isn’t; in other words, there’s no way to do it half-right or half-wrong: it either is or isn’t in place.

Do you need to apply mortar after installing the Rivestop?

No, it’s not necessary. The hole is sealed from the Rivestop installation, though you can apply mortar if you want or if engineering specifications require it.

Can I apply it in humid/wet conditions?

Yes, it can be applied in wet conditions; even if water is coming out of the hole, Rivestop can still be applied.

Can the product be moved once it’s been installed?

No, it’s cannot be removed once it has been installed. Rivestop installation is irreversible and it can only be taken out by boring into the wall.

Do I need a special tool to install it?

No, you don’t need any special tools, just a standard riveter.

What type of holes can it be used on? Can I use it on conical and cylindrical holes?

It can be used on all types of holes, whether they’re cone-shaped or cylinder-shaped, since it doesn’t need to be attached to the wall with the hole in order to be installed; it expands once you put it in with the riveter with no need for other support

How much time does Rivestop take to seal the hole?

The riveting action takes approximately 3-5 seconds. As we’ve stated previously, installing it is very easy and doesn’t depend on the skill of the person putting it in; it works very quickly. The time savings compared to other systems are truly impressive.

Has Rivestop been tested?

Yes, it has been tested. Our product bears the EC seal and has been approved by the European Organization for Technical Approvals (EOTA).

How is Rivestop different from a plug?

A plug is something is only useful for plugging something, such as a cork, a rubber stopper, a plastic stopper, etc… Rivestop is a mechanical system that completely seals the formwork hole permanently and never slips out.

Where can I use it?

Garages, basements, elevators, buildings, pools, warehouses, sewage systems, etc.
